This African Mask from the Babanki people of Cameroon measures 35 inches tall and 12 inches wide. The elephant is a royal animal in Babanki tradition and these masks may be worn only by privileged members of the community on special occasions such as dances, festivals, and funerals. The movements of dancers wearing the elephant mask are slow and majestic, imitating the elephant itself and befitting his dignity. The elephant mask is second in prestige only to the human mask. - FREE US SHIPPING
