African Statues - Senufo Statue 2

African art and masks of the Senufo. This African statuette from the Senufo people is 25 inches tall, and hand-carved of wood. This wonderfully detailed statuette depicts a young goat herder playing a xylophone-like musical instrument, 2 of his charges at his feet. It is a wonderful slice of life from Africa, and is very intricately carved in great detail. One of the horns on one of the goats is damaged, but it does not detract from the reality of this moment in rural Africa.
