African Masks - Dan Racing Mask 13

African art and masks of the Dan. This mask is hand carved of wood by the Dan people. It is 10 inches tall and 7 inches wide. It features cowrie shells, and a raffia beard. Dan racing masks are worn during racing and running games, and feature round eyes to allow the runner to see more clearly.
