African art and masks of the Bambara of Mali. This African mask from the Bambara people is 11.5 inches tall, and 6.25 inches wide. The hand hammered bronze sheets which form the face are held in place with tiny nails. The elongated face, straight nose and small mouth are typical of Bambara masks.
